FAQ

  • I sure am!

  • Yes you do! If it's your first time coming to us you will need a consultation with us.

This is to ensure we have all your relevant medical history and you understand the treatments being preformed. As all electrologists do things differently I want us to be on the same page from the beginning.

  • It can be uncomfortable but never unbearable. We can adjust settings and timing for you if needed.

  • Yes it sure will! Electrolysis is permanent hair removal and once your hair follicle is destroyed it cannot regrow another hair. If your hormones are all over the place it can cause new hairs to grow at anytime. We will go through this in detail during your consultation.

  • The number of treatments needed vary according to each client. Factors that can affect how many treatments are needed are the body area, growth cycles, quantity of the hair, thickness of the hair, hereditary factors, hormone function, certain medications, previous hair removal methods, and more.

It is also important to consider your own time constraints. At your consultation a treatment plan will be designed around your specific needs to achieve the results you are after.

  • We can do thermolysis during the 2nd and 3rd trimesters of pregnancy. We don’t use galvanic or blend during pregnancy as it is direct current and while there is no studies showing it is unsafe, we err on the side of caution.

If you are at all concerned please speak to your doctor.

  • If you don’t have any hair left, then AMAZING!! We can’t wait until this happens to you! It will be refunded to you the same way you paid for it.

We understand that life happens! So, if for any reason you can no longer do your treatments, let us know, and we can cancel all future bookings and refund your deposit or deduct it off your last treatment. If you wish to resume your treatments again, we will require another $50 deposit.

Please note: This is only if your deposit is still active and has not been deducted due to a no-show or late cancellation.

  • Your tattoo will look even better when the hair has been removed. The ink in your tattoos is not affected by electrolysis. You can have electrolysis prior to tattooing. Alternatively, start hair removal 8-12 weeks after the tattoo is complete.

  • Yes you can, but we require a letter from your doctor saying it’s safe for you to have electrolysis hair removal in your mole. We do this to ensure it is benign.

  • Yes you can have electrolysis when you have sensitive skin. We watch how your skin is reacting during your treatment and can adjust settings and duration if needed. You will also need to follow the your after care instructions to minimise any side effects.

As long as you are aware of this and ok with it then, yes, you can have electrolysis.

Please chat to your doctor if you need further information.
